On April 12, 1981, the first space shuttle mission took off not only on its way into space, but also into the future. There had already been grand, not to say utopian, plans for commercial space travel in the 70s, and in the 80s the space hype was pretty big, especially in the USA. The reality couldn't quite keep up, but the great interest and belief in science was still pretty impressive. This spirit of optimism among space geeks and NASA nerds can now be experienced roughly four decades later with this spacey - or as it would have been called in the USA in the 80s: gnarly - lava lamp.
This 50cm measuring NASA rocket lava lamp is reminiscent of the American space hype of the 80s, from the red cap to the blue and red design and the three feet, which are modeled on the "tail fins" of a typical rocket. Of course, the official NASA logo should not be missing. An enclosed power cable with EU adapter supplies it with power. The lamp is supplied in individual parts, but you can assemble it in a few simple steps without tools.
