Technische beschrijving Pandora Open Source 1GHz Edition

Pandora's box is open... and it contains... what is it? A handheld! Handhelds are a great thing, I think we can all agree on that. What better way to pass the time than with a game of Mario or Tetris? But a true geek needs more than just a games console: Individuality and boundlessness are his top priorities and the handheld is designed to meet precisely these needs. Pandora is designed to meet these needs.
The (or should it be 'the'?) Pandora is a portable Linux-based computer developed entirely in-house by OpenPandora GmbH. The main focus is on games, but strictly speaking there are no limits to the applications. No matter whether it is remote administration (RDP, SSH, VNC, etc.) or just watching movies or listening to music. Probably the most important feature of Pandora is its ease of modification. An active community offers new applications and games for download almost daily and is very helpful with all kinds of questions, for example in the wiki. The manufacturer also offers a support center with the possibility to open tickets.
Thanks to open source, there are no limits to the setting options. If you have sufficient programming skills, you can change everything if necessary. However, you don't have to be a programmer to have fun with Pandora or to adapt it to your needs. Pandora is designed to be user-friendly despite its numerous possibilities. Programs, for example, are simply saved on the SD card: Download from the Internet (possible via WiFi directly with the Pandora), store in the appropriate folder on the SD card and the Pandora does the rest all by itself. Incidentally, the .pnd format, which was developed especially for Pandora, is responsible for this ease of use.
There are numerous emulators with which you can play old and much-loved classics via Tetris to Pokémon or Zelda can play. But Pandora can also be used for work - and we don't just mean during breaks. There are numerous applications for coding, editing e-mails, creating Office documents or monitoring your finances, for example.
In addition to the scope of delivery shown in the picture above (Pandora, power supply unit, battery), there is also a stylus for the touchscreen on the back of the little all-rounder, which is stored there to save space and can simply be pulled out.
Now we come to the only limits to your creativity: the hardware:
