Technische beschrijving Sugru moldable adhesive
Unfortunately, not all products last as long as we would like them to. And even things that retain their core functionality often show signs of external wear and tear: Charging cables start to get brittle, the tablet lost a corner of its casing the last time it fell off the bedside table and the screwdriver somehow used to have more grip. In such situations, you used to have two options. Either you had to continue using the impaired product to a limited extent or you had to buy a new one. Sugruthe miracle material that inspires hobbyists all over the world, provides a remedy.
As soon as you open one of the 5 gram packs, you will hold a substance in your hands that initially resembles plasticine. However, as soon as you allow Sugru to harden for 24 hours, it transforms from a soft mass into a firm but still flexible material. Now you're probably wondering: "What am I supposed to do with a lump of rubber?". The answer to this question: Everything.
Because Sugru not only adheres to metals, wood, glass and most plastics, it is also waterproof, insulates up to voltages of 24V and can withstand temperatures between -50 and +180 degrees. This makes it perfect for repairing virtually anything: The charging cable simply gets a new sheath, the tablet casing is repaired and the screwdriver gets an ergonomic handle that fits your hand perfectly. You can also repair broken hiking boots, replace parts of your fridge or build shock absorbers for your phone. The possibilities are endless.
Sugru stays "fresh" for 13 months after production, but you can triple (!) the shelf life if you keep your packets in the fridge. Although Sugru is no longer chemically active after hardening, it should not come into contact with food. The product should also not be eaten or get into the hands of children.
