Description Optimus Maximus
The Optimus Maximus keyboard features 113 OLED displays, each of which can be controlled individually, allowing different layouts to be displayed on the keyboard without any problems (unfortunately, one key is missing in the main block for the standard German layout). The possible applications for this are, of course, enormous - besides different keyboard languages, you can, for example, display different symbols on the keys depending on the program currently in use.
Each display is 10.1x10.1mm in size and has a resolution of 48x48 pixels with 65536 colors. To ensure the longest possible lifespan, the displays themselves are fixed in place. When a key is pressed, only the shell is pressed down. The displays achieve a frame rate of at least 10 fps, although this mainly depends on how many displays are animated simultaneously. The various layouts can be set using the included software for Windows and OS X (a Linux version is not yet available) and are then saved on the included 32MB SD card, which can, of course, be replaced with a larger one for more extensive layouts.
To round off the Optimus Maximus, it features two USB 2.0 ports and a connection option for a K-Lock. The keyboard also requires a separate power supply of 100-240V (European or US network), but various adapters are included to ensure connection in Europe and the USA.
The keyboard has dimensions of 53.7x17.3x3.8cm and a key is 20.2x20.2mm in size. Please note that the Optimus Maximus typically has a delivery time of 1-2 weeks.
