Description 3Doodler Pro 3D printer pen
Creative minds with a penchant for three-dimensional drawing already know it: the 3Doodler. For years, this 3D printer in pen form has been making it possible to create works of art in the air and turn dreams into reality. After three different 3Doodler versions, the technology in the 3Doodler Pro has been perfected: This pen fulfills even the highest demands and will take the hearts of both professional users and hobby doodlers by storm!
However, before we go into the innovations that make the 3Doodler Pro so perfect, we should clarify for all newcomers to the world of doodling, what a 3D printer pen is. The answer is quite simple: similar to its big brothers, the 3Doodler Pro lets you "print" figures, buildings or even jewelry from molten plastic and other materials. Unlike conventional 3D printers, however, there is no need for clunky housings and the tedious conversion of ideas into print files ;)
Inside the 3Doodler Pro, rods that you have loaded into the pen are pressed forward by a thread and melted. You can imagine the whole process as if you were using a hot glue gun. The 3Doodler Pro is compatible with the following materials:
- ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer) is particularly suitable for painting freely in the air, the material is soft and pliable. ABS is also good for doodling on a paper surface. ABS is not transparent.
- PLA (polylactide) is harder and therefore better suited for long free lines without supports, as well as for doodling on smooth surfaces such as metal or glass.
- Flexy (thermoplastic polyurethane) is less brittle and can be bent like rubber, but always returns to its original shape.
The pen can also be used for the following new materials where its predecessors would fail:
- metalmore precisely rods with copper and bronze particlesallows you to take your creations to a whole new level. With several layers, you can provide more stability and your finished constructions can even be sanded and polished to look really shiny. This material will also be available here in the store in a few days' time
- nylon is hard and resistant at the same time. It has a slightly flexible surface reminiscent of fabric and can even be dyed with fabric paint! A packet of this material is included in the scope of delivery. It can also be reordered from us in a few days.
- Wood is undoubtedly the most interesting new addition. Of course, you don't insert sticks into the 3Doodler Pro, but special rods into which wood fibers are incorporated. The result is light and delicate structures that you can even sand down or color with wood stain. A packet of this material is included in the scope of delivery.
But the 3Doodler Pro has also been upgraded beyond the materials: The housing of the pen has been refined with carbon fibers and immediately gives an idea of the high-quality inner workings. Two dials can be used to set the temperature and speedwhich are also displayed on the built-in LCD display display. The three-stage adjustable fan can also be used to set how quickly the respective materials are cooled down.
Of course, the 3Doodler Pro also has plenty of accessories A rechargeable battery lets you doodle even when you're on the move, the matching charging cable ensures you always have enough juice and a cleaning tool is there to help you if you've doodled a little too enthusiastically. A Set of 6 different nozzles (0.5mm, 1.0mm, 1.5mm, band, triangle and square) provide different structures and, last but not least, five packets of plastic rods let you get started right away (25 sticks each of wood, nylon, black ABS, black FLEXY and transparent PLA).
