Das Keyboard was developed for people who spend many hours a day in front of the computer and therefore place great value on a special keyboard.
The new version, called Model S, features improved electronics compared to the previous version, as well as some additional multimedia functions. Overall, it convinces with the following features:
High-quality keys
The Das Keyboard Model S features mechanical keys with gold contacts developed by Cherry in Germany. These provide a typing feel similar to the legendary IBM Model M: Each keystroke produces a click that can be felt and heard.
Unlabeled keyboard
The Das Keyboard Model S is available in an unlabeled version (called Ultimate), where the keys are completely black. The perfect gadget to create astonished looks from friends. And if you haven't learned to touch type yet: Your brain will quickly get used to the keys having no labels and will memorize the positions, so you'll learn to touch type almost incidentally.
N-Key Rollover
The Das Keyboard Model S can recognize up to 6 simultaneously pressed keys when connected via USB, and even significantly more when connected via PS/2. So nothing stands in the way of fast typing or rapid gaming.
USB 2.0 Hub
To ensure you always have enough USB ports available, the Das Keyboard Model S features 2 additional USB ports.
Multimedia keys
The Das Keyboard Model S features 8 multimedia functions that allow you to control the volume of your computer's sound, for example, using the function keys and an additional Fn key.
Various layouts
The Das Keyboard Model S is available in 5 versions:
- Professional US: 104 keys with US layout labeling
- Professional DE: 105 keys with German layout labeling
- Professional UK: 105 keys with British layout labeling
- Ultimate US: 104 keys without labeling (suitable for US layout, for example)
- Ultimate EU: 105 keys without labeling (suitable for all European layouts)
Unfortunately, we can only show you photos of the US versions at the moment, but we will of course provide the other versions as soon as possible! You can be sure that the other layouts all correspond to the typical layout of your country, such as the typical L-shaped Enter key.
Das Keyboard is connected via USB or PS/2, for which a 2m long cable is available. The color of the keyboard is glossy black, and it works under any newer operating system (such as Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X).
