However, with the exception of the IT industry, very few people have any idea how programming languages work or how to use them. In very few cases does this have to do with the fact that these people are not interested in the subject, but rather with the lack of learning opportunities. For example, computer science lessons, if they exist at all, are of little importance at most schools. The 2015 founded Youth Programming Initiative has set itself the goal of combating this shortcoming.
The Jugend Programmiert Starterkit V2 offers anyone interested (even those who have left their youth behind them) the perfect introduction to the world of programming. Based on the credit card-sized and inexpensive mini computer Raspberry Pi (not included), the components contained in the kit can be used to carry out a variety of interesting and useful experiments. From switching LEDs on and off using program commands to distance measurements and alarm systems ─ you won't get bored so quickly with this set!
