The story about the young nobleman Paul Atreides was first told in the books by Frank Herbert in 1965. This science-fiction epic was the basis for the genre as we know it today, and was even a source of inspiration for Star Wars. The fact that Dune is not nearly as well known is mainly due to the less successful film material.
The Dune Poster – It Begins shows the cast of the latest film adaptation from 2021. It is the first of at least two parts, which raises hope that a proper adaptation has finally succeeded after several attempts. This is due not only to the epic images of the film and the well-written script but also to the perfectly cast actors. The story is still very much up to date since the central themes include criticism of religion and the problems of environmental destruction.
If you like the Dune movie poster and hang it up on your wall, just remember one thing: leave enough space for the sequel poster ;).
